Founded by former Harte-Bavendamm partner Thies Boesling, IP litigation boutique boesling IP goes live on 1 November 2015. German-based but with an international focus, the firm is dedicated to enforcing intellectual property rights before the German and European courts as well as before the national and supranational intellectual property offices.
boesling IP’s client portfolio includes large global businesses and world market leaders as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and successful niche enterprises from various industry sectors, including fashion and clothing, foods and beverages, medial devices and dental products.
Thies Boesling has a track-record of litigating more than 250 cases before the German courts, the General Court of the European Union and the European Court of Justice. His experience covers all aspects of enforcing intellectual property rights (including well-known marks) in national and complex cross-boarder litigation, developing and implementing strategies against counterfeiting and parallel imports, managing private investigations against intellectual property right infringements, portfolio management (including trademark clearances, filing, opposition, and cancellation proceedings) as well as drafting and negotiating IP licensing and transfer agreements.
Before starting boesling IP, Thies was a partner in the law firm of Harte-Bavendamm and previously worked for Lorenz Seidler Gossel and McDermott Will & Emery.
Thies will be joined by a partner from one of Germany’s leading IP practices who will bring in additional expertise and experience in trademark, design, copyright and unfair competition law within the coming weeks. The team is committed to further growth in 2016.
